Happy New Year, COR family!
The New Year is a great time to reflect on years past, and today as I’m sitting in my office, I’m remembering all of the people I’ve encountered throughout the years because of the COR program. The new and old COR crosses are in my office, standing side by side, and I can’t help but think about all of the lives that COR has changed. I started reading the names, and with nearly every name came a great memory. Some of the names are so worn you can’t read them anymore, some of them belong to people we only encountered once, some of them belong to people who have passed on.
I know that many of you have moved on, have gone to college, started careers, some even have started families of your own. But through the years, a part of you remains here, on these COR crosses…a symbol of your commitment to Christ and your membership in this remarkable COR family.
And so, on this New Year’s Day, I remember you, and I pray for you. That you would always know the love of Christ, and that no matter where you are or what you’re doing, you have a family who loves you, cares for you, and prays for you. You are always welcome here.
Today’s first reading offers a beautiful blessing that I would like to pass on to all of you:
“The Lord bless you and keep you!
the Lord let His face shine upon
you, and be gracious to you!
The Lord look kindly upon you
and give you peace!”

Be assured of our prayers for you this year, especially as we prepare for the January 2013 COR retreat.
